Robert Kilroy-Silk became the first person to voted off I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! on Wednesday night.

The controversial talk show host turned MP ended up in the bottom two alongside ex-cop Brian Paddick after receiving the fewest number of viewer votes.

Despite becoming a major force in camp winning 22 stars in two Bushtucker Trials, it seems that the public were unable to forget the frostier Kilroy that first arrived in the jungle.

But after watching a montage of his best bits, Kilroy insisted he’d totally been himself in camp, telling hosts Ant and Dec: “The me that was there is me, whether I’m nasty or nice that was me, I’m myself.

“I have very strong views and I like to express them clearly… but I like to do what’s right and what’s fair.”

Kilroy said he wanted tennis ace Martina Navratilova to win – but said that ex-EastEnders star Joe Swash would probably take the crown.

Meanwhile, glamour girl Nicola McLean threatened to leave the jungle show after waking to find her bed had been soaked by torrential rain.

Nicola, who vowed never to quit, screamed: “I’m a celebrity, get me out of here,” adding: “I’m going home. How many times do I have to say I’m wet? I need to go somewhere I can be warm and dry and have a hot bath. I can only give this so long.”

Martina eventually managed to calm her down saying: “It would be silly to quit like this, you’ll only regret it later.”
