The I’m A Celebrity…campmates have been told they will have one more chance to save themselves from the first elimination on Sunday night, by taking part in a group trial.

Saturday night’s show saw Ant and Dec break the news that those not already safe from the first public vote would compete in the challenge, named Critter Crates.

The winner will also be safe from the first public vote, joining Laila Morse, Vincent Simone, Rebecca Adlington and David Emanuel – who have already been saved from the chop.

Those four were chosen by ‘camp saviours’ Joey Essex, Kian Egan and Amy Willerton after they endured a string of tough challenges to win ‘immunity tokens’ for the others.

Viewers saw Vincent, Rebecca and David chosen on Saturday night after the trio successfully completed a task which saw them having to fill mine carts with nuggets – while dodging jungle critters.

While they debated over who to give their immunity tokens to, Amy argued against including Emmerdale star Lucy Pargeter, who has made digs at her behaviour in recent days.

“I think she would much rather know what the public think and obviously she wants to see her boyfriend and little girl,’ she explained.

Vincent was saved by Kian, who described him as ‘a good person to have in camp’, while David was chosen by Joey on the grounds that ‘he seems so happy’.

The first elimination will take place during Sunday evening’s I’m A Celebrity which kicks off at 9pm.
