All Roads Lead to Rome | Film review – Sarah Jessica Parker goes in pursuit of love in Italy

Italian-set romantic comedy All Roads Lead to Rome finds single mom Sarah Jessica Parker in pursuit of love - and an errant daughter.

All Roads Lead To Rome Raoul Bova Sarah Jessica Parker

Romantic comedy All Roads Lead to Rome stars Sarah Jessica Parker as a newly divorced mom whose bid to rekindle an old flame (Raoul Bova) on a nostalgic holiday to Tuscany turns into a frantic cross-country pursuit after her stroppy teenage daughter (Rosie Day) steals her former Italian lover’s open-top Alfa Romeo and takes off for Rome, accompanied by his dotty mama (screen legend Claudia Cardinale). This road movie romcom never gets into top gear, but the amiable mood and scenic views go some way to make up for the movie’s humdrum pace.

Certificate 12. Runtime 88 mins. Director Ella Lemhagen

All Roads Lead to Rome debuts on Sky Cinema Premiere on Tuesday 10 January and is available on DVD from Signature Entertainment.
