Jeremy Piven admits he’s a little like his Mr Selfridge alter-ego.
The Hollywood actor plays Harry Selfridge in the ITV drama about the London department store founder and his staff, while he has also enjoyed success with hit US comedy Entourage, as super agent Ari Gold.
“Harry Selfridge is the antithesis of Ari, and he’s actually more like me, in a way,” he said.
The 49-year-old, who is now promoting a film version of Entourage, spends half the year in Britain filming Mr Selfridge.

“I’ve loved being in the UK. I think the experience here in England, playing opposite all these brilliant actors and working with all the folks, has made me better at whatever it is I do,” he said.
“Hollywood is a very strange place to navigate… a lot of times in Hollywood, someone will say they love you and the reality is quite different, so it’s very confusing.”
Jeremy added: “I’ve noticed that actors and creative people in the UK are in fear of repeating themselves. You see them not wanting to do a series for too long and wanting to work on their range, and it’s so beautiful.”
Entourage is in cinemas now.
