Neighbours star Delta Goodrem is making her return to Erinsborough as part of the show’s 30th anniversary celebrations, she has confirmed.
She played Nina Tucker between 2002 and 2003, returning for a guest stint in 2004 and again in 2005 for the soap’s 20th anniversary.
Delta has now announced that she will be joining the line-up of well-loved characters returning for the special 30th anniversary storylines next year and will take part in three episodes.
Delta tweeted old photos from her time on the show and captioned them: “I am so excited to be making a guest appearance as my character Nina for neighbours special 30th anniversary xx.
“Look out Ramsay street I’m back #ninareturns #30thanniversaryspecial xx.”
It hasn’t yet been confirmed what Delta’s return storyline will be, but it is expected to involve something to do with music. Her character was a keen musician and since leaving Neighbours, Delta has become better known as a singer and is now working on her fifth album.
Neighbours executive producer Jason Herbison said: “It’s only natural that music would somehow be involved. Having Delta join us for this momentous occasion is the icing on the cake, we are delighted.”
It was recently announced that Anne Charleston and Ian Smith would be returning to their roles as Madge and Harold Bishop for the 30th anniversary, and more star guests are still to be revealed.
