Legendary rugby streaker Erica Roe is to show off her even wilder side on TV’s The Island with Bear Grylls.

Erika made headlines in 1982, when she ran topless across the pitch at Twickenham, during an England v Australia rugby union match.

Now, 58, she is billed as a retired farmer on the survival show, in which eight men and eight women are cast away on an uninhabited island.

Erika, who lives in Bristol, grew up in Tanzania, where her father owned a successful tea estate.

She claims her basic upbringing and strong farming skills will help her on the popular survival show.

Erika told producers her “zest for life” is her biggest strength and warned them about her saucy past, reports The Sun.

Her streak was seen by millions of TV viewers. Police at the stadium used their helmets to cover her up.

Last year, Erica put her 34G assets on display again, releasing a topless calendar to raise money for breast cancer research.

The Island host Bear, 41, said a record 135,000 people applied to take part in the Channel 4 series starting at 9.00pm on Easter Monday.
