From baking brownies for her co-stars to surprising style crushes. There's lots we didn't know about EastEnders actress Tilly Keeper - until now!
She’s the fourth actress to take on the role of EastEnders Louise Mitchell, and since joining the soap in 2016, actress Tilly Keeper has certainly cemented herself as part of the amazing Mitchell dynasty.
But what does the 21-year-old actress like to do in her spare time? We’ve found seven things you probably didn’t know about the lovely Tilly Keeper…
1. She’s got a secret passion for baking
While she might have a hectic schedule filming at EastEnders, Tilly likes to spend her down time baking cakes. She’s a huge fan of Mary Berry and one of her favourite things to make is peanut butter brownies – which she apparently likes to take into work and share with the rest of the EastEnders cast and crew.
2. Zoe Ball is her style icon
Tilly is a self-confessed fashion addict and gets style tips from lots of different famous people. She told express.co.uk: “I love Zoe Ball – she wears black skinny jeans, a statement jumper and sparkly heels. It’s so simple, yet she looks so cool. Fearne Cotton is also cool, has great style and is really natural. My mum, Amanda, was also really stylish when she was my age. She looked a bit like Rachel from Friends!”
3. She’d like to steal her characters’ trainers!
Despite Tilly and her on screen alter-ego Louise having a totally different style, Tilly has confessed she secretly wants to take her character’s trainers home. The actress told express.co.uk: “I love Louise’s pink platform trainers – they cost £25 from Asos. I feel like Baby Spice when I wear them. Louise wears younger styles than I do. Everything is loud, bright and clashing!”
4. She’s real-life best friends with her co-stars
EastEnders stars always say that the cast and crew at Elstree are close, and it would appear that Tilly is testament to just that. Some of her best friends in real life are also her co-stars, and she often shares pictures of her with her EastEnders friends, including Jasmine Armfield, who plays Walford’s Rebecca Fowler, and Shaheen Jafargholi who, until recently, played Shakil Kazemi.
5. The most famous person she’s met is Will Smith
She might be rubbing shoulders with famous soap stars on a daily basis, but Tilly says the most starstruck she’s ever been was when she came face-to-face with Will Smith at a Justin Bieber concert! Tilly was just 15 when she met the famous actor, and apparently was very shy.
6. She would have liked to play the role of Ronnie or Roxy Mitchell
While she couldn’t love playing the role of Phil Mitchell’s daughter on EastEnders any more than she does, there are a few other roles she would have liked to play. The actress once told Inside Soap magazine: “I would have loved to play Ronnie or Roxy – they were strong Mitchell women and I can’t get enough of the Mitchell family. Or possibly Fatboy… but that’s because I really like Ricky Norwood who played him”.
7. She gets career advice from Steve McFadden
Legendary EastEnders actor Steve McFadden doesn’t just play Tilly’s on-screen dad, he also acts as her career advisor as well. When asked what the best bit of advice he’s ever given her was, the actress told metro.co.uk: “He told me to work hard full stop. Work hard keep, your head down, ignore the talk and stay humble”.
