Abbey Clancy: I’d never let Peter do Strictly

Strictly Come Dancing contestant Abbey Clancy has admitted she would never let footballing hubby Peter Crouch take part in the show.

The Stoke City ace – who is famous for his ‘robot’ dance performed in celebration of scoring goals – has reportedly told the model he would love to take part instead.

However she told the Mirror: “I’m not too sure I’d allow that. The girls are far too hot.”

The 27-year-old, whose partner will be revealed on Saturday night’s launch show, added that she is thrilled with her choice of pro fancer.

“I’m going to have to wear make-up in training,” she joked, “he’s gorgeous.”

And she also revealed that it hasn’t taken her long to be bitten by the Strictly bug, particularly when it comes to her wardrobe choices.

“I only wanted to wear black but that’s all changed,” Abbey said. “I wore turquoise and my legs are like two bronzed copper pipes. I’ve got the bug already.”

Strictly Come Dancing kicks off on BBC One at 6.50pm on Saturday night.
