Model and WAG Abbey Clancy has been confirmed as the fourth Strictly Come Dancing celebrity of 2013.

Abbey – who sprang to fame on Britain And Ireland’s Next Top Model – confirmed news of her participation on her Twitter page following weeks of speculation she had signed up for the show.

“Yes, it’s true I will be doing strictly #terrified #excited #SCD2013,” she tweeted, accompanied by a black and white snap of her looking dancefloor ready in a sparkly costume.

The 27-year-old – who is married to footballer Peter Crouch – is no stranger to reality TV having previously taken part in Hell’s Kitchen in 2007.

More recently she has also been seen as a fashion expert on This Morning.

Abbey joins a line-up which so far includes TV personality Vanessa Feltz, golfing legend Tony Jacklin and Countdown’s Rachel Riley.

The show’s website hinted that one more celebrity would be confirmed ahead of the full line-up being revealed on Monday’s edition of The One Show.

Strictly Come Dancing 2013 kicks off with its launch show – in which the celebrity dancers are paired with their professional partners – on Saturday September 7 at 6.50pm.
