Strictly Come Dancing champion Abbey Clancy has revealed she is in shock after her victory on Saturday night’s show.
The model and WAG – who danced her way to the Glitterball trophy with partner Aljaz Skorjanec – took to Twitter in the small hours of Sunday morning to make her feelings known.
“Can somebody please tell me how this has happened?” she asked before later adding: “Wow just wow thank u everyone u have made my dream come true I can’t believe it.”
The tweets continued in a similar vein as she asked: “Seriously, how has this happened…still in shock.”
And later she posted a snap of the Strictly trophy, adding: “This is for u everyone who voted u inspired me to do my best!”
Susanna Reid – who had been favourite to win – has also been active on Twitter since the show’s end, saying: “Thank you everyone who voted. @keviclifton and I had the time of our lives.”
She and Natalie Gumede finished as runners-up to Abbey on Saturday, while Sophie Ellis-Bextor was voted into fourth place by viewers.
Meanwhile Len Goodman has warned Susanna and other contestants not to expect their new-found popularity to last, calling it a ‘flash in the pan’.

“We’ve done 11 series now and, even the people who have won, how many have had their careers catapulted into a totally different atmosphere? Any” he asked the Daily Star Sunday. ““I don’t know. I can’t think of any.”
He said of the BBC Breakfast host: “It’s a big deal at the moment with her but next year it’ll be over with. I don’t know how well she’ll do.”
