Spurned X Factor finalist Amelia Lily says she holds no grudge against mentor Kelly Rowland for rejecting her before the live shows.

Amelia has a chance to rejoin The X Factor finals this weekend, as the four acts booted off by their mentors compete to replace Frankie Cocozza.

Amelia said she had no hard feelings against Kelly, despite taking the rejection badly at the time.

“Kelly’s always been there for me,” said Amelia. “She did say to me after, ‘I’ve still got your back’ and I will still mentor you, I’ll be here for advice… I hold no grudges whatsoever, she always says such nice things about me.”

Viewers can throw a lifeline to one of the four acts who were ditched from the show by their own mentors, with 2 Shoes competing with Amelia, James Michael and Jonjo Kerr.

ITV and show producers talkbackThames and Syco have said the profits from the phonecalls – amounting to at least 22p per call – will go to Help For Heroes.

Phone lines opened at 4pm today (Friday) and close during the show on Saturday, which begins at 8.15pm, with call terms at www.itv.com/terms.
