Teachers and This Life star Andrew Lincoln fights to stay alive in FX’s apocalyptic zombie drama The Walking Dead.

Andrew is well-known in the UK for his roles as lazy Egg in This Life and feckless Simon in Teachers, but his latest role as a gun-toting, Stetson-wearing, all-American cop in zombie thriller The Walking Dead could make him a bone-fide star across the pond and follow in the footsteps of British actors like True Blood’s Stephen Moyer and House’s Hugh Laurie.

Andrew told whatsontv.co.uk: “I loved playing this character! This has been such a liberating experience for me because it’s so radically different from what I’ve done before.”

The Walking Dead, which premieres on FX on Friday, November 5 at 10pm, is a six-part thriller about a group of people trying to survive in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse in the American South.
