Ant and Dec lead UK tributes to BAFTA-winning US comedian Garry Shandling, who has died

British TV stars have been paying tribute to US comedian Garry Shandling, who has died at the age of 66, reportedly from a heart attack.

He was taken from his LA home by ambulance on Thursday morning and pronounced dead at a hospital.

The award-winning comic, who created It’s Garry Shandling’s Show and the BAFTA-winning The Larry Sanders Show, pioneered a form of docudrama comedy which influenced Ricky Gervais, among others.

The Office creator was also among British stars to pay tribute to Garry Shandling.





US comics also lined up to express their thoughts.
