The boys will be the subject of a documentary
Ant and Dec might be taking a break as a duo right now but fans will get to see them together again in a new programme.
It’s been revealed that the boys will be the subject of a documentary celebrating their 30 years in showbiz and it will feature various highlights from the many shows they’ve been a part of over the years.
Famous friends will also be involved in the Channel 5 doc to discuss the pair’s achievements and amongst them is Peter Andre, who has given fans a teaser of what to expect.
“Last week I filmed a TV segment for Ant and Dec’s 30th anniversary, which was good fun!” the singer wrote in his New! magazine column. “I’m unsure when it will air, but it was great to take a trip down memory lane and remember the great things I’ve been involved in with the boys over the years.
“Everything from living above them 22 years ago, when they were PJ and Duncan, to appearing in various shows with them.”
It comes after Ant McPartlin stepped down from his TV commitments when he was arrested for drink-driving in March following a three-car crash in London.
In the wake of the incident the 42-year-old sought treatment in rehab – having been found to be twice the legal limit when he crashed the vehicle – and was disqualified from driving for 20 months when he appeared in court last month. He was additionally fined £86,000.
“I let myself down, I let a lot of people down, for that I’m truly sorry. I’d like to apologise to everyone involved in the crash and I’m just thankful no-one was seriously hurt,” Ant told reporters outside of court.
Meanwhile Declan Donnelly, 42, hosted the pair’s show Saturday Night Takeaway by himself for the remainder of the series and will do the same when it comes to the live shows of Britain’s Got Talent.
