Axed Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips has said that Len Goodman and Craig Revel Horwood should be split up to stop them bickering.
The choreographer told The Sun the panelists work together better when another judge is sat between them, as she used to be, and thinks they need that “cushion” to minimise the rows.
The 66-year-old said: “Len and Craig work brilliantly together but they need the net in between them – I think the positioning of the judges is strange.”
Head judge Len has recently spoken about sitting next to Craig, saying he didn’t like it and would rather have stayed next to Bruno Tonioli.
He also revealed on the Strictly offshoot show It Takes Two that he is hoping when guest judge Darcey Bussell joins the panel towards the end of the series that she will sit between him and Craig.
Arlene also spoke out about Zoe Lucker being given the boot from the show calling it “an absolute shocker of an exit”.
She said: “Zoe was agile and quick on her feet. I don’t think it was the best dance in the competition but it was a shock to see her go.”
Arlene also revealed she was less than impressed with Craig Kelly, admitting she would “rather see him in the Tower of London than in the Blackpool Tower Ballroom”.
