Audley Harrison has finally been knocked out of Strictly Come Dancing after landing in the bottom two for the fourth time – thus missing out on the chance to appear on next Saturday’s Wembley Arena show.

The boxer, who partnered Natalie Lowe, had previously seen off competition from Edwina Currie, Nancy dell’Olio and Lulu.

However his luck finally ran out on Sunday’s show when he found himself in the bottom two alongside Anita Dobson and Robin Windsor.

And while Anita appeared emotional to learn the news that she would be staying in the show, Audley seemed resigned to his fate.

“I’ve really enjoyed myself,” he said of his time on the show. “Imagine the first week I was 100-1 to go out, so hopefully all those people who lost money on me with the David Haye fight, hopefully they get their money back.

“I had a great time,” Audley added, “I’ve really enjoyed it.”

His dance partner Natalie Lowe, meanwhile, thanked “all the people at home who voted and kept us in.”

Audley’s departure leaves eight couples who will take on the dancefloor at Wembley Arena next Saturday night in front of a live audience of around 6000 people.

Harry Judd, Chelsee Healey, Holly Valance and Jason Donovan were among those who sailed through to next week on the public vote, while Alex Jones, Robbie Savage and Russell Grant also lived to fight another week.
