Colin Firth crowned best actor at the Golden Globe Awards

Colin Firth was crowned Best Actor last night at the Golden Globes for his role as stammering George VI in The King’s Speech, but The Social Network was the night’s big winner, carrying away the awards for best film, best director, best screenplay and best score.

Natalie Portman pirouetted to victory as Best Actress for her performance as a tormented ballerina in Black Swan, while Annette Bening claimed the gong for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical for The Kids Are All Right
