Awards Season | 2011 Oscar nominations announced

This year’s Oscar nominations have just been announced – and the list is much as you’d have expected. The King’s Speech leads the field with 12 nominations, including acting nods to Colin Firth, Helena Bonham Carter and Geoffrey Rush. The Coen Brothers’ Western remake True Grit has 10 nominations; and both The Social Network (the film to beat, surely?) and Inception have eight apiece.
