ITV and the BBC are hoping to scoop each other in the race to sign up Kylie for TV shows – but it appears that ITV have the upper hand.
The 39-year-old singer – who celebrates 20 years in pop this year – had already delighted Beeb bosses by agreeing to sing live at this autumn’s Children in Need.
But before she appears on the charity night, she will film a TV special for ITV as part of her comeback after her breast cancer scare. During the show, she will perform a range of greatest hits, as well as tracks from her new album.
“This is a massive celebration of Kylie’s 20 years in pop,” an ITV insider told the Sun. “We’re thrilled and it is going to be spectacular. We’re pulling out all the stops for her comeback.”
