The BBC newsreader George Alagiah has returned to TV after recovering from cancer.
George, the presenter of BBC One’s News at Six and GMT on BBC World News, had been diagnosed with bowel cancer, which had spread to his liver and lymph nodes, last April.
On October 28, George announced that his treatment was over.
He returned to the six o’clock news on Tuesday to a rapturous welcome.
ITV news presenter Mark Austin, was quick to tweet.
