Alesha Dixon has said the Britain’s Got Talent judges want acts to surprise them just like Hungarian shadow troupe Attraction did last year.
Speaking on the red carpet as the auditions began at London’s Hammersmith Apollo, she said of last year’s eventual winners: “When Attraction came out on stage we were all genuinely surprised, none of us had seen that kind of act before, so for me it’s just about an act surprising us again.
“It should be something the public’s never seen before, or, if you’re going to do something we’ve seen before, do it better!”
She also said she may have become more sentimental over some of the acts, since having her daughter Azura last year, admitting there’s been one act on the audition trail that has made her cry. “Maybe I have become more soft, I don’t know,” she said.
And she reckons fellow judge and dad-to-be Simon Cowell will be a ‘wonderful’ father.
