JLS singer Oritse Williams and former Westlife star Brian McFadden have made it to the final of ITV’s dance show Stepping Out following a closely-fought semi final in which they each performed two routines.
Saturday’s show saw the remaining couples – who also included Lawrence Llewellyn-Bowen and his wife Jackie – once again take to the floor with their partners, with Oritse and Brian both winning praise from the judges for their latest routines with AJ Azari and Vogue Williams.
In a further twist, the couples then swapped partners in a group performance to All That Jazz from the musical Chicago.
Ultimately though it was Lawrence and Jackie who missed out once the votes from the judges and the public had been combined.
The semi-final featured just three couples after boxer Carl Froch and girlfriend Rachael Fordingley were forced to quit the series earlier this week.
The pair had been voted through to the semi-final but Carl was unable to continue after suffering a back injury while performing a lift on last weekend’s show.
Actress Denise Welch and husband Lincoln Townley and acting twosome Glynis Barber and Michael Brandon also missed out on the final after being eliminated earlier in the series.
Next Saturday’s show will kick off at the slightly later time of 7.20pm – and is likely to clash with Strictly Come Dancing, which begins its live shows on BBC One next weekend.
