No that’s not really David Beckham – it’s just one of this week’s more inspired auditionees on Britain’s Got Talent 2010!
The lookalike in question is a member of this act, the Chippendoubles. They started off as masked monks….
…..but soon revealed themselves as celebrity impersonators, including Gordon Ramsay…..
…..and Simon Cowell. Luckily he saw the funny side and put them through to the next round!
Tina Turner impersonator Karen Teirney wasn’t quite so lucky however
And Francis Stevenson’s Meat Loaf tribute act fell at the first hurdle
This polite, unassuming looking chap is English lecturer Hayashi….
…..who performed some breathtaking stunts with a samurai sword while blindfolded. Luckily for the man holding the cucumbers, the act went off without a hitch
Dance troupe Mystikal fell on stony ground when they incorporated singing into their act – but still made it through to the next round
Also making it through were husband/wife pop duo Ophelio. Simon hated the act but they won favour with Piers and Amanda
James Boyd, the man who attempted to break a Ferrero Rocher eating record on the 2009 series, was also back for another try
This time his record attempt involved eating nine After Eights in one minute without using his hands – but he only managed a paltry five!
The final act of the night was 80-year-old grandmother Janey Cutler, who sang Edith Piaf’s Je Ne Regrette Rien – and wowed the judges with her voice
Piers and Amanda were on their feet during her song – as were the audience
It was no surprise when the pensioner – tipped by some as the next Susan Boyle – sailed through to the next round
