With just one week to go before the semi-finalists are revealed, the competition is hotting up in Britain’s Got Talent 2010
Among those who made it through to the next round this week were school dance troupe Starburst
Father -son duo Michael Fayombo Snr and Jnr also made it through with their impressive Michael Jackson tribute act
And a number of other dance acts impressed the judges, including ten-year-old Tyler Patterson
The schoolboy won massive praise for his body-popping performance
But it wasn’t all good news. Chef David Loh tried to impress with his melon cutting skills but nobody seemed that interested
And Dave Jay’s juggling act and ‘invisible’ plate spinning left the judges cold
However they loved doorman Neil Fullard, who crooned his way through the Sinatra classic Come Fly With Me
The 42-year-old brought all his work colleagues along for support!
In the waiting area this chap, Corey Sean, looked like a quiet unassuming type…..
…..but he raised a few eyebrows when he appeared on stage dressed as Beyonce!
Accountant James Shields hoped to impress the judges with his clarinet playing, but he failed to make an impact with Amanda and Simon
Ivone Deruish was similarly hopeful that she would strike a chord with the judges but her and her trumpet were sent packing
Nor did they like Richard Barriball’s bottle-playing act
And teenager Matilda Myszka was described by Simon as “spoilt” after she hit back at the judges for rejecting her
However the night ended on a high, as 14-year-old singer Liam McNally won a standing ovation for his rendition of Danny Boy, and was tipped by Piers as a potential winner. Only one week to go….
