We’re used to drama over on Britain’s Got Talent, but things were turned up a notch when Simon Cowell stormed off stage during a disagreement with fellow judge Amanda Holden last night.
The chaos began when a couple took to the stage with a rendition of ‘Let It Go’ from Frozen.
Returning to the stage after doing a re-enactment of Beauty and the Beast last year, Katherine, 35, and Joe O’Malley, 58, were desperate to make it through to the second round with the Disney classic.
But while Amanda declared the audition her “favourite thing of the whole day,” let’s just say Simon wasn’t bowled over by the performance.
Getting up from his chair, Simon stormed off set prompting boos from the audience as Amanda, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams carried on their vote without him.
Luckily for Katherine and Joe, they managed to scrape through as they got two yes votes from the panel and one from the audience.
And it seems as though viewers were totally divided over the performance, as one wrote: “I have to agree with Simon that was shocking act.”
Another disagreed: “It was so daft it was great.”
And a third added: “Absolutely bloody hilarious,” while a fourth joked: “Best thing I’ve seen this series.”
Elsewhere on BGT, Alesha was the second judge to press her Golden Buzzer after 10-year-old singer Giorgia Borg took to the stage.
The talented hopeful floored the panel when she sang an original number about adults not taking young people seriously.
“I cannot believe you are 10 years old. I was barely out of nappies when I was 10 years old!” David joked, before Alesha interrupted him to press the big golden button.
