Britain’s Got Talent viewers petrified as Amanda Holden swears during ‘scariest moment ever’: ‘Absolutely terrifying’

Britain’s Got Talent was back last night, which means ITV viewers got to see the nation’s finest performers take to the stage once more.

And the first show of 2019 certainly didn’t disappoint as judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden watched everything from a Primary School dance routine to a comedy act based on The Queen.

But it was one particular contestant that really got fans of the show talking, as spooky magician Elizabeth transformed into a woman who died more than 100 years ago.

As the atmosphere built, the magician singled out 48-year-old Amanda and took her backstage to a dark room.

Following a spooky story about ‘Agatha Turner’, the telly judge was then left terrified as Elizabeth suddenly turned into the ghost of Agatha and grabbed her arm.

Screaming in horror, Amanda accidentally swore before shouting: “Oh my God I want to go home.”

Shaking as she returned to the stage, the rest of  the judges and hosts Ant and Dec were left with their mouths open in shock.

Alesha then told the magician: “It was the most scary act we’ve ever had on the show and I want to see more.”

And it looks like viewers at home were equally as spooked, after one wrote on Twitter: “Just nearly had heart failure watching #bgt #elizabeth scared the freaking daylights out of me!!”

“OMFG who saw that act on BGT  that was freaky, poor Amanda,” said another.

While a third wrote: “omg I would have died if i was amanda then wtf

And a fourth agreed: “Just nearly had heart failure watching  #elizabeth scared the freaking daylights out of me!!”

Even Amanda herself admitted she ‘almost peed her pants’ during the terrifying act.

Elsewhere on the show, Ant McPartlin was reunited with his TV pal Declan Donnelly after taking some time away from the show.

The 43-year-old presenter missed the live shows last year after stepping back from his work commitments following his drink drive arrest last March.

But fans were delighted to see Ant standing next to Dec, 43, in his rightful place.
