There’s more trouble for Britney Spears – she has reportedly been dropped by her management company.
LA-based company The Firm dropped the starlet just hours after her lawyer stopped representing her in her custody battle, reports People.com.
“It saddens us to confirm media reports that we have terminated our professional relationship with Britney Spears,” The Firm said in a statement.
“We believe Britney is enormously talented, and has made a terrific record. But current circumstances have prevented us from properly doing our job. We wish Britney the best.”
The pop princess, 25, hired the company for the run-up to her comeback album.
Meanwhile, Laura Wasser stepped down as Brit’s attorney in the child custody battle with her ex-hubby Kevin Federline, saying the singer would be in ‘excellent hands’ with her replacement.
She reportedly added: “I don’t want anyone to perceive that we’re dumping Britney,” though no reason was given for the change.
This is a double blow for Britney whose long-awaited comeback at last week’s MTV Video Music Awards was panned by critics.
