Actor and Radio 1 host Cel Spellman has been unveiled as the host of The V Room, the official switchover show of The Voice UK.
Broadcaster and actor Cel, 21, currently starring as Matthew Williams in ITV drama Cold Feet, will begin hosting duties when The Voice UK starts recording its blind auditions in Manchester next week.
The V Room will bring fans all the gossip from backstage, as Cel interviews the all-star coaching panel of will.i.am, Jennifer Hudson, Tom Jones and Gavin Rossdale, plus show presenter Emma Willis, and all of this year’s singers throughout every stage of the competition.
The V Room will be available on-demand across the ITV Hub and feature exclusive content on social media across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and The Voice App.
Cel, who also hosts BBC Radio 1’s Sunday afternoon show, said: “Hosting The Voice UK’s V Room is a very exciting prospect – as a fan of music, I’m looking forward to working with four of the best in the business, and bringing an immersive experience to the fans.”
The winner of The Voice UK 2017 will scoop a life-changing recording contract with music giants Polydor Records, home to global music stars Take That and Ellie Goulding.
