Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has revealed she is thinking about quitting The X Factor at the end of this series.
The 31-year-old singer returned to the judging panel after a three-year break having made up with boss Simon Cowell, who dropped her from the US version of the show. But Cheryl has admitted she has not decided if she will be back next year.
She told the Metro: “When you are in it, it’s hard to even think about coming back. It’s very, very tasking. It takes a lot of your energy.
“I know for people at home it’s Saturday night TV and it’s entertainment, but I get so emotionally involved. I am consumed by it.”
And asked by the Daily Star if she would return, Cheryl said: “That’s a question Simon would have to ask me himself.
“Then I would have to talk about it because it’s been very emotional.
“You get attached, you try not to, but we’re human at the end of the day. You can’t help but feel the emotion, it’s tough.
“You’ve probably seen us shrinking week on week.”
