Cinema Made in Italy 2013 – London’s Italian film festival kicks off tonight

Cinema Made in Italy 2013 kicks off tonight at the Ciné Lumière in South Kensington with screenings of Magnificent Presence (Magnifica presenza), the latest movie by Le fate ignoranti director Ferzan Ozpetek, and The Landlords (I padroni di casa), the new film from actor and director Edoardo Gabbriellini (he played Tilda Swinton’s lover in I Am Love.

The two directors will be at the Ciné Lumière tonight for Q&As following the screenings, as will actor Elio Germano, who stars in both films.

And there’ll be more Q&As with directors and actors over the coming five days as London’s Italian film festival, for the third successive year, launches a selection of 10 new films at the cutting edge of Italian cinema.
