Claudia Winkleman is set to replace Bruce Forsyth as the presenter of Sunday night’s Strictly Come Dancing results show, according to The Sun.

The paper reports that Claudia – who has previously hosted the spin-off show It Takes Two – will join co-host Tess Daly on the show after Bruce admitted he was too tired to present both.

The 80-year-old – who will front his eighth series of the show starting in September – recently claimed that filming on Saturday night leaves him so tired he spends most of Sunday in bed.

“Claudia is the perfect choice as she already has a history with Strictly,” an insider told the paper.

“It will be all about girl power with Tess at the helm as well.”

The Sunday results show – which was scrapped last year in favour of a longer Saturday night programme featuring performances and results – is returning after viewers complained that the combined show was too long.

Meanwhile, former Coronation Street star Tina O’Brien is the latest celebrity rumoured to have signed up for the show.

The 26-year-old – who played Sarah Louise Platt on the soap – joins a line-up tipped to include Holby City star Patsy Kensit, veteran actress Felicity Kendal, boxer Frank Bruno, former MP Anne Widdecombe and Charlotte Church’s ex-fiance Gavin Henson.
