Claudia Winkleman says she will not be dancing like Sir Bruce Forsyth at the opening of each Strictly Come Dancing show.
The 42-year-old presenter is taking over as co-host of the hit BBC show after 86-year-old Brucie announced his retirement.
Claudia will join Tess Daly, who used to dance with veteran entertainer Bruce at the start of the show.
But Claudia told The Daily Mirror there will be no dancing for her, adding: “It’s my knees. I can’t dance and speak at the same time. It will finish me off.”
The mum-of-four previously hosted the Strictly pre-recorded results show with Tess, but confessed she is still nervous about taking on the live shows, and will not even be attempting to fill Brucie’s shoes.
Claudia said: “I am terrified. Terrified. I can’t breathe. I don’t know what I will be like when it comes to do it.
“Maybe I will be in a corner grinding my teeth. I just want to be useful. If I am, then it will be fine.”
She added: “I am going to be Tess and she will be Bruce.
“Tess and I get on really well. She is brilliant. We haven’t really talked about it yet, but we will.”
