Twin Peaks’ co-creator Mark Frost has denied that the US TV series is being revived.

David Lynch (pictured) and Frost wrote and oversaw the cult series, which screened between 1990 and 1991.

Mark wrote on Twitter that a recent casting notice that had been posted was simply ‘another strange baseless rumour’.

The notice read that ‘producers and casting directors are currently seeking females for David Lynch’s Twin Peaks promo’.

It said that they were looking for ‘brunettes or redheads’ to play waitresses.

Twin Peaks, starring Kyle MacLachlan as FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper, was axed in 1991 after two seasons.

It was recently ranked one of 60 shows that were cancelled too soon.
