With rumours still flying around about whether Colin Morgan is appearing in the third series of The Fall, we talked to the actor to get his feelings on appearing in series three.

Colin, who became a household name playing a young wizard in BBC1 fantasy series Merlin, reveals he’s eager for more time on the serial killer thriller series: “It was the first truly creative collaborative project on TV that I’ve experienced. So, if that level of creativity is up for grabs for another season, surely it would be silly not to grab it!”

While he’s restricted from giving a definitive yes-no answer, we reckon Armagh-born Colin is highly likely to return. Especially given that his character, DS Tom Anderson, was last seen in bed with his boss, Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson, played by Gillian Anderson.

Colin said: “I was massive fan of the first season, so it was a no-brainer for me to be part of [the second series] of a wonderful, home-grown drama.”

He adds: “The third season has been confirmed, which is really exciting. We’re discussing [my return] at the minute. They’re due to start in November… maybe in the next couple of weeks I’ll be able to answer that!”
