Is this the end for Weatherfield builder Gary Windass?
Coronation Street has confirmed that Gary Windass will be left fighting for his life next week after evil villain Rick Neelan strikes again.
Soap fans will know that Gary is already a dead man walking after escaping Rick’s clutches last month.
Viewers watched in horror as Rick took Gary hostage in his office with the intention of killing him there and then.
But thankfully for Gary he managed to escape when Rick’s back was turned, and he has been a sitting duck waiting for Rick to catch up with him ever since.
Gary’s drama with Rick started when he took out a loan with Rick months ago. But since then he has been struggling to pay back his debts and Rick has made the builder’s life a living misery.
As Gary got himself deeper into trouble, Rick forced him to take on jobs so horrendous that Gary couldn’t go through with them, leaving Rick to decide to teach him a lesson by getting rid of him for good.
But the official website for Coronation Street has revealed today that Rick will set out to finish the job he started next week when he gets Gary alone in some woods…
The website reveals: “Rick lures Gary into the woods, but it’s a trap. Gary fights for his life against a much stronger, more prepared Rick… will this be the end for him?”
Whether Gary is set to meet a grisly end or not remains to be seen, but one person who is oblivious to Rick’s murder plan is Gary’s ex, Sarah Platt.
Having washed her hands of the builder after being lied to one too many times, Sarah has moved on with a new romance, and the Coronation Street website confirms that things are going from strength-to-strength for Sarah and Adam Barlow.
“Sarah and Adam arrange a romantic rendezvous, could this be the start of a beautiful relationship?”
But how will Sarah feel when she realises Gary was fighting for his life while she was spending time with her new man?
Make sure you watch on Monday 17th June to discover Gary’s fate.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
