Dannii Minogue has confirmed that she will return as a judge on the 2010 series of The X Factor, after signing a new deal for the show.
According to the Mirror Dannii, who is due to give birth to her first child with boyfriend Kris Smith in July, will join the show at the judges’ houses stage.
A replacement for her at the live auditions stage of the show has yet to be announced.
The 38-year-old’s new contract, reportedly worth around £700,000, ends months of speculation that Dannii would not return for the next series following the birth of her baby.
“Last year Dannii completely shone on the show,” a source told the paper. “She is completely over the moon that she’ll be back, and she’ll be bringing Kris and the baby with her.”
“Kris has a lot of engagements still in Australia, but they will make it work.”
The source added that Dannii’s salary for the show was “comparative to last year”.
Negotiations were reportedly boosted by Dannii’s current popularity as the face of new fashion range Project D as well as appearing in adverts for Marks and Spencer.
