Friends star David Schwimmer apparently married his 25-year-old British girlfriend in a private ceremony earlier this year.

News of the nuptials comes as Courteney Cox – David’s former co-star on hit sitcom Friends – and her husband David Arquette announced a ‘trial separation’.

David’s representative confirmed that the actor/director married British photographer Zoe Buckman in a small private ceremony in early June, Entertainment Weekly.Com said.

The couple first met at the Cuckoo Club in London’s West End, when Zoe was working as a part-time waitress at the exclusive venue and David, 43, was in London directing his 2007 movie Run, Fat Boy, Run, starring Simon Pegg and Thandie Newton.

Soon after meeting the star, Zoe left her home in north London and moved to Los Angeles to be with David, who was previously linked with Natalie Imbruglia.

Zoe and David, who shot to fame in 1994 as Ross Geller in Friends, became engaged in March.

The news comes as Cougar Town star Courtney, 46, and her husband David, 39, who have a six-year-old daughter, issued a joint statement saying that they had been separated for some time but remained committed parents and ‘best friends’.

The pair, who married 11 years ago, said: “The reason for this separation is to better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage.

“We remain best friends and responsible parents to our daughter and we still love each other deeply.”
