Doctor Who star David Tennant was one of the surprise star attractions at Saturday night’s Live Earth extravaganza at Wembley stadium.
Blink and you may have missed him, but BBC1’s favourite Time Lord popped up to provide a link in the marathon concert – while delivering a keynote message about global warming to his legions of fans.
“Back in 2005, when I was Christopher Eccleston,” the Doctor Who lead joked, “we saw one of the largest increases on record of CO2 in the atmosphere. Unless we keep the rise in global temperatures to under two degrees, by the time I’m Daniel Radcliffe or wee Jimmy Krankie, I won’t be able to save the planet!”
He then went on to introduce pop group The Pussycat Dolls and wowed the crowd with a pumping hip wiggle, before exiting stage left.
“Get ready to shake your booty and all associated areas,” he told viewers. “It’s… The Pussycat Dolls!”
