A corporate headhunter finds he has become the hunted in Headhunters, a slick and suspenseful thriller based on the book by best-selling Norwegian novelist Jo Nesbø. Askel Hennie’s Roger is Norway’s top corporate headhunter, but it’s his lucrative sideline as an art thief that allows him to fund the lavish lifestyle he leads with his gorgeous blonde goddess of a wife (Synnøve Macody Lund). Yet when he plots to steal a famous artwork from one of his clients, Dutch alpha male Clas Greve (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), his cunning scheme quickly unravels, leaving him fleeing for his life from an altogether deadlier kind of headhunter. The film’s shocking twists of fortune will have you on the edge of your seat, but the pitch-dark humour will have you squirming too. Unsurprisingly, a US remake is in the pipeline, but Hollywood will be hard-pressed to match this Scandinavian gem. It’s so gripping you’ll forget there are subtitles.

Released on DVD & Blu-ray by Momentum Pictures on Monday 13th August.
