Ben Mitchell fights for his life after a tragic accident in EastEnders...
Rumours are emerging from EastEnders that Ben Mitchell will be left fighting for his life after a tragic event in the BBC soap.
What’s on TV can reveal Ian and Phil are given crushing news when they rush to the hospital – Ben is in a critical condition and may not survive…
Ben’s life-threatening state comes at a time of high emotion for the Mitchell family, who have recently buried Mitchell matriarch, Peggy (Barbara Windsor).
No doubt waiting to hear some good news from the hospital will be an agonising time for Ben’s father Phil (Steve McFadden) and his half-brother Ian (Adam Woodyatt) – who can be seen here in a frantic state having rushed to the ED. But why is Ben’s mother Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) not with them?
It’s not yet known whether Ben’s boyfriend Paul Coker (Jonny Labey) will also be fighting for his life in this dramatic storyline – or if this will be part of Jonny’s exit storyline. Jonny confirmed his EastEnders departure on Twitter in April:
Ben’s death would be a devastating blow for Mitchell family, especially his alcoholic father, Phil. With Ben’s life hanging in the balance will Phil sink into another spectacular downward spiral?
Harry Reid is the fifth actor to play Ben Mitchell in the soap and has made the role his own since joining EastEnders in 2014… but could he be the fifth and final one?
Find out when the eventful episode airs on July 18th on BBC1.
