Last night's EastEnders revealed Sean Slater has come back to Albert Square with a huge secret...

EastEnders fans couldn’t be happier to have Sean Slater back on their screens. But after a decade of waiting for him to return, it seems Sean’s about to be sent down a dark path as the soap reveals a suicide twist.

After it was announced at the start of the year that Rob Kazinsky would be reprising the role of Sean after 10 years away from EastEnders, and fans definitely weren’t left disappointed after last night’s episode saw him well and truly back on our screens.

But as the episode unfolded, it soon became clear that Sean’s homecoming wasn’t going to be a happy one.

The drama started when Sean picked Amy up from school on Friday last week, and the fall out of Amy vanishing from school was revealed last night.

As Stacey and Jack desperately tried to track Amy down, little did they know she was busy having a milkshake with Sean, sharing their thoughts about Roxy.

But as Sean talked about Roxy in the present tense, it soon became clear that he had no idea that Roxy has been dead for more than two years.

As Amy returned to Albert Square, Jack was left shocked to see it was Sean who had taken her, and the pair came to blows. But it was only when Sean asked to see Roxy that the penny dropped for Jack that Sean has no idea about his ex wife’s demise.

Taking Sean to Roxy’s grave, Jack dropped the bombshell that Roxy and Ronnie died on New Year’s Day two years ago… and Sean was visibly heartbroken.

Jack and Sean EastEnders

Jack and Sean didn’t waste any time hiding their true feelings!

But as Jack badmouthed Roxy, revealing that he held her entirely responsible for the fact Ronnie died on her wedding day, the men started to fight, getting out 10 years of hatred between them.

However, their fight soon stopped and the pair seemed to put the past behind them. But it was only when Jack asked Sean why he was back that the truth was revealed.

Sean confessed that he was back to make amends after 10 years of being away… but it was only when he was alone at Roxy’s grave that his intentions became clear.

Telling Roxy that he would be with her soon, it seems that he is planning to take his own life and has returned to Walford to say goodbye, and fans are devastated…

EastEnders fans are in for a treat as Sean’s story unfolds this week, and tonight sees him come face-to-face with Stacey and Jean again.

While Stacey is the one to share some harsh home truths with her brother tonight, Jean is thrilled to see her son and suggests they go away for a break together to catch up on old times.

But will their trip away end in tragedy?

EastEnders airs Monday and Friday at 8pm and Tuesday and Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
