Max’s world comes crashing down around him when he arrives home to find Tyler, a County Court bailiff, ransacking his house.
As he goes through into the living room, he sees another bailiff placing stickers on the stereo, television, video player, etc. Tyler tells Max they will be back on Friday to collect the marked items.
Later, Max spies the bailiffs outside his front door and returns home to find they are already removing items from his home.
Max has a cheque from Rachel and offers it to Tyler, but he’s not interested and pushes Max away.
Tanya, Lauren and Abi appear and are shocked by the situation.
Max tells Tanya it’s a misunderstanding as she reads through Tyler’s paperwork and the list of things to be removed.
As the bailiffs leave with the television, Phil marches round to Max’s and demands the money that’s owed to him before telling Tanya that Max has been swindling people out of cash.
Tanya is even more horrified to see the cheque in Max’s hand signed by Rachel. Will she stand by her man, or pack up and leave? Find out in EastEnders from Monday 7 December.
