Eminem has revealed he would like to be an X Factor judge – because he doesn’t think much of the ITV1 show’s current line-up.

The rapper has apparently offered Simon Cowell his services as he doesn’t think that judges Cheryl Cole, Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh have enough experience for the job.

Eminem, famous for his hits including Stan and My Name Is, is reported in The Sun as saying: “No disrespect to the current judges but you need people who are global, platinum-selling stars.

He said he’d ‘guarantee’ finding a platinum-selling star if he and producer Dr Dre could appear on the show as guest judges.

He said: “A hip-hop star will never win a show like The X Factor without somebody like me on the panel. I’m not sure I [could] do it full-time, but I would come and be a guest judge.

“There are a lot of very talented hip-hop stars who would kill for a break in Britain but the judges aren’t qualified in hip-hop.”

In other X Factor news, it’s been reported that Simon is planning to chose a song performed by Joe McElderry as the winner’s song – giving a strong indication that he thinks the likeable Geordie can win the competition.

Simon is set to pick Journey’s 1981 power balled Don’t Stop Believin’ that Joe sung in Rock Week. His second choice is The Climb, from Disney movie Hannah Montana, which would suit Stacey Solomon.

The news is bound to upset Simon’s own remaining acts, Danyl Johnson and Olly Murs.

An insider told The Sun: “Danyl and Olly really think they can win. They will be shocked to learn the winner’s song is one Joe has already performed.”
