Emmerdale viewers in hysterics over Cain Dingle and Graham Foster’s ‘cringe’ fist fight

Viewers didn’t find the brawl as dramatic as producers may have hoped…

Emmerdale fans were left in hysterics after watching Cain Dingle and Graham Foster attempt to fight in Friday night’s episode.

It’s been a dramatic few days for Cain, who learnt on Thursday that Joe Tate is alive and well, after Kim Tate finally revealed the truth while trying to blackmail Cain into bed.

So when he confronted Kim’s henchman Graham, viewers were no doubt expecting a violent brawl between the pair.

Cain threw the first punch, before Graham fought back and held the mechanic in a tight chokehold.

But after Cain kicked Graham through a gate, the pair continued to throw punches and scramble as they rolled around a field.

The fight only came to an end when Moira Barton separated the warring pair.

While the tense scene was supposed to be dramatic, some viewers couldn’t help but giggle at the ‘cringe’ encounter.

One asked: ‘Was that fight between Graham & Cain supposed to be funny?!’

Another criticised: ‘Worst fake punch ever.’

A third added: ‘Awkward on screen fighting alert 😬 #Emmerdale.’

Another puzzled viewer said: ‘😂 😂 who choreographed the punches between Cain and Graham? 🤛 🤛 #Emmerdale.’

And another added: ‘That fight scene was pretty cringey tbf,’

One viewer even compared the scene to Hugh Grant and Colin Firth’s awkward brawl in Bridget Jones’ Diary, tweeting: ‘That fight reminds me of the Hugh Grant and Colin Firth one in Bridget Jones’s Diary but they deliberately played that to look ridiculous, the one in #Emmerdale was just bad.’

Meanwhile, Kim finally revealed the truth to Cain earlier this week, lifting his guilt after months of believing he had killed Joe.

Showing Cain a photo of Joe on her phone, it proves that he is actually very much alive and living it up in Monte Carlo.
