'Kerry and Cain are both really damaged people,' says Jeff
Emmerdale star Jeff Hordley has spoken out about Cain Dingle’s revenge romp with Kerry Wyatt next week.
Cain is in a terrible place after discovering that his wife Moira had been bedding farmhand Nate, who then turned out to be his long lost son.
That would be the nail in the coffin of most relationships (!!), but Moira amazingly believes they still have a future and tries to make it up with Cain.
The pair do kiss and they have a heart-to-heart over the traumatic recent events, explains Jeff.
“They talks things through, and Cain wants to understand why she had the affair,” says the hugely popular star. “She gives him answers but they’re not the answers he wants to hear.”
Despite their kiss, Cain isn’t about to make up with his wife. He sees their marriage as being over and reckons he’s a single man again, free to do what he likes. And he doesn’t waste much time.
After a pint or two at The Woolpack, Cain ends up bedding Kerry. Explaining their motivation, Jeff says: “Kerry and Cain are both really damaged people. They want to fight against everything; they don’t care.
“So they have this little one-night stand to help get over what has happened to them. As Kerry says to Cain, the best thing about breaking up is that you have a bunk-up with a stranger… and that’s exactly what happens.”
And Cain gets his revenge on Moira, when she sees him with Kerry. “Cain’s glad to see her hurt. It pleases him for her to know how he felt when he found out about her and Nate.”
So, is this really it for Cain and Moira in Emmerdale?
Emmerdale continues on ITV.
