Emmerdale’s Kim Tate to make ‘EXPLOSIVE’ permanent return next year

Actress Claire King will be back on screens next year

Emmerdale bosses have revealed that super bitch Kim Tate will make a permanent return to the soap next year.

Village vixen Kim, played by Claire King, made a guest appearance this week, nearly twenty years after she was last on screen. The character was released from prison six months early and made a dramatic entrance at the Home Farm masquerade ball, only to be pushed over a balcony – the guilty culprit later being revealed as Faith Dingle.

Kim survived the fall, but in tonight’s episode she was carted back to prison to serve the remainder of her sentence, having breached the terms of her early release by speeding and driving without insurance.

Says Claire King of her impending comeback: “You knew she wasn’t going to go away quietly, so I’m pleased to announce Kim Tate will be back. It’s been great fun keeping it under wraps, but now she can really get down to business!”

Adds Emmerdale’s Executive Producer Jane Hudson: “Although Kim’s initial return was fleeting, she caused such mischief and chaos that we simply couldn’t resist bringing her back.

“Kim Tate is just getting warmed up for an explosive 2019 which will see her hell-bent on getting exactly what, and who, she wants.”

The exact date of Kim’s return hasn’t been revealed, but it’s unlikely to be in the New Year as Claire King is busy in panto; playing wicked fairy Carabosse in a production of Sleeping Beauty at Stockport Plaza.

Kim’s guest return formed part of an action-packed week of episodes in Emmerdale. Fans were left aghast last night when Joe Tate was murdered by his assistant Graham Foster, who let Cain Dingle believe that he had caused the businessman’s death.

Meanwhile, Simon McManus finally got his commupance for throwing acid in Ross Barton’s face, when a confession caught on Moira Dingle’s phone ended up in the hands of Hotten police. But the development spelled disaster for Debbie Dingle, who was later arrested for her own part in the attack.
