Entourage | DVD review – Adrian Grenier and his posse of homeboys are still living it large

Picking up where the hit HBO TV comedy series left off in 2011, spin-off movie Entourage finds Hollywood star Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) still living it large with his posse of homeboys from Queens, New York – childhood chums Eric (Kevin Connolly) and Turtle (Jerry Ferrara), and less successful older brother Johnny (Kevin Dillon). Happily, Jeremy Piven’s hilariously aggressive agent Ari Gold remains on hand, too.

The plot doesn’t amount to much – it mostly involves Ari’s efforts to secure funding for Vince’s directing debut from a Texas tycoon (Billy Bob Thornton) and his horny idiot son (Haley Joel Osment) – but fans of the series will enjoy the boys’ breezy banter and hedonistic escapades, as well as the host of cameos, from blink-and-you’ll-miss-them appearances by the likes of Liam Neeson and Kelsey Grammer to supporting roles for ‘Blurred Lines’ beauty Emily Ratajkowski and mixed-martial arts star Ronda Rousey, playing themselves.

Certificate 15. Runtime 84 mins. Director Doug Ellin.

Entourage is available on Blu-ray, DVD & Digital HD from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.
