Filming begins on series three of BBC2 comedy Rev

Filming has started on a third series of clerical comedy Rev, with Dexter Fletcher and Fonejacker star Kayvan Novak joining the cast.

The BBC Two show, which stars Tom Hollander as inner-city vicar Adam Smallbone and Olivia Colman as his wife, will return for the six episodes next spring.

Regulars, including Simon McBurney and Miles Jupp, will also be back for the new series, along with Downton Abbey star Hugh Bonneville, who plays Roland Wise.

Dexter will play an award-winning modern artist and Kayvan guest-stars as the local Imam in the show which was named best sitcom at the 2011 Bafta awards.

Tom has revealed he has become a churchgoer since playing the beleaguered vicar in the hit show.

He said: ”I believe in the idea of God now. Since doing Rev I believe in what the idea of God represents, but I can’t say anything more concrete than that.”
