Check-out DS Endeavour Morse's new look, as filming gets underway on the sixth series of the Inspector Morse prequel series.
Filming is now underway in and around Oxford on the sixth series of the Inspector Morse prequel, Endeavour, with series star Shaun Evans, who plays the super-sleuth rockin’ a new moustached look!
For the first time, Shaun will also be stepping behind the cameras to direct an episode of the detective-drama, having already directed three episodes of BBC 1’s Casualty.
The upcoming series will be set in 1969, with the tragic murder of DC George Fancy remaining unsolved, after he was caught in the crossfire between two rival gangs.
It’s also all-change for Morse and his friends as he begins a new job at the Woodstock police department and his former colleagues now find themselves working elsewhere, following the closure of Cowley Station at the end of Series 5. DI Fred Thursday (played by Roger Allam) must get used to working for a new boss DI Ronnie Box. Meanwhile Fred’s daughter Joan is back in Oxford and is training to work in social services. But the question is, did she ever go for that coffee with Morse?
“As our story reaches the last year of the 1960s, and mankind makes its giant leap, all at #TeamEndeavour look forward to exploring further early chapters in the casebook of author Colin Dexter’s beloved creation,” says series creator Russell Lewis.
Endeavour will return to ITV next year.
