ITV has released a new teaser featuring all the Cold Feet friends (minus the late Rachel) back together again
Cold Feet is returning and a new trailer has been released to tease its comeback. This is the first time viewers get to see the original cast back in action in 13 years.
The clip shows Adam, played by James Nesbitt, on his flight home to Manchester. He wakes to see Jenny offering him a hot towel, Pete is sitting right next to him and Karen is sitting in the seat behind. Then David dressed as a pilot walks down the aisle to them.
It’s the second teaser clip released by ITV offering a sneak peak at the upcoming series.
The BAFTA-winning series stars James Nesbitt, Robert Bathurst, Hermione Norris, John Thomson, and Fay Ripley as a group of long-term friends living their lives in Manchester and dealing with issues of friendship, relationships, parenthood and love.
The ITV comedy drama began in 1997 and ran for five series. The rebooted series will pick up with the original characters and their lives 13 years on, with the introduction of one new cast member, Radio 1 presenter Ceallach Spellman, who will play Matthew, Adam and Rachel’s teenage son.
Cold Feet is directed by Terry McDonough, Juliet May and Jamie Jay Johnson and produced by Rebecca Ferguson. The series will feature a new title track written and performed by Elbow frontman Guy Garvey and I AM KLOOT’s Peter Jobson.
Exec producer Kenton Allen said: “We’re thrilled and flattered that these two iconic sons of Manchester wanted to write and perform an original song to mark the return of Cold Feet. Amazing music has always been part the show’s DNA and it’s great to give a nod to the rich musical heritage of Manchester with Guy and Pete’s beautiful new composition.”
